Answer

A recent Microsoft update has caused a number of circulation and searching issues in Polaris for the following Microsoft Windows Operating Systems:

2016 - KB5071543

2019 - KB5071544

2022 - KB5071547

At this time, it is the recommendation of Polaris Support to uninstall the update if it’s already installed, or block it from installation if it has not yet been applied.

Update:

Microsoft has fixed the aberrant behavior, which is available for Server 2016, 2019 and 2022, respectively:

2016 -December 18, 2025—KB5074974 (OS Build 14393.8692) Out-of-band - Microsoft Support

2019 - December 18, 2025—KB5074975 (OS Build 17763.8148) Out-of-band - Microsoft Support

2022 - December 18, 2025—KB5074976 (OS Builds 19044.6693 and 19045.6693) Out-of-band - Microsoft Support
