SIP2: 64 message holds counts don't update within patron session

The SIP2 64 patron information response message includes counts of the patron's total holds and "unavailable" holds (not ready for pickup). If the patron checks out held items and the SIP2 client sends another 63 patron information request, the 64 response returns the same counts as before checkout, even though the patron's holds have changed.

When YTDCIRC maintenance is run using Scheduler, using the "Replace" option, a "Start" record number, and no "Stop", LYRCIRC is zeroed.

For libraries that have had LYRCIRC fields zeroed unexpectedly, Support can restore LYRCIRC using YTDCIRC from a system backup.

This issue does not occur when a "Stop" record number is set.

Cannot set "Recent patron history" option to blank

Setting the "Recent patron history" (in Admin | Options | Setup) to blank disables the Recent Patron History feature. If staff delete this setting (blanking it out), save, and reload the SDA, the value reverts to 5, preventing the feature from being disabled.

Similar behavior affects "Recent search history" and "Recent record history."

Item details on message pop-ups at check-in, cont'd

When staff check in items with message fields (field tag m), the SDA displays item details (title, author, call number, and barcode) on the message pop-up. These details should only display on workstations using Item Status API.

Note: This continues SIERRA-39497 (fix in Sierra 6.3), which resolves this issue only for systems entirely without Item Status API. The issue persists for workstations not in the RFID Pad Server Options table, when the Sierra system has Item Status API installed.

Repeated Bills send fewer bills than configured

Sierra sends one fewer repeated bill than configured in the Circulation Option "Notices: Repeated bills." If the number of repeated bills is 2, Sierra sends 1. If the number of repeated bills is 1, Sierra sends no repeated bills.

After upgrading to Sierra 6.5, fixing this issue will cause Sierra to send repeated bills that were not previously sent, and libraries may notice a surge in the number of repeated bills to send.

Incorrect cover images for records with UPC in MARC 024

If a bib record contains a MARC 024 field with a UPC code, the SDA attempts to look up the cover image as if it were an ISBN. This can result in displaying an incorrect cover image.

Sierra does not support retrieving cover images by UPC and should not attempt to use UPC codes in this manner.

Searching CJK in call number in SDA

When a single CJK character is entered for a call number search, the SDA throws errors in the console and hangs temporarily. PayPal transaction fee can result in failure to remove fines from patron account

At a library where PayPal charges the patron a fee for paying fines online, Sierra fails to remove some paid fines from the patron's account. This can result in patrons paying multiple times in an attempt to remove the fines from the account.

Note: this only occurs when PayPal is charging the fee. This is different from a library service charge configured in the PAYAMTS wwwoption and paid from the library.
