Description
The following is a list of defects as reported by customers to the Help Desk, including those fixed in a future release. To stay consistent with the builds of Polaris most people are using, we will maintain Known Issues for for the current build and go back three releases. At this moment this would include the following versions of Polaris:
- Polaris 7.6
- Polaris 7.7
- Polaris 7.8
- Polaris 8.0 (Latest Release)
Known Issues meet the following requirements:
- The issue was reported by a customer to the Help Desk and sent to our Software Engineering team as a product defect.
- At minimum, one library has reported the issue and our staff can replicate on an Innovative test machine, or a significant number of libraries have reported the issue.
- The issue has been reviewed by our Product and Development teams and confirmed to be and issue / unexpected behaviour.
In all cases, we aim to provide consistently updated information that includes a description of the issue, the software version in which the problem was found, and when applicable, the version including the coded resolution.
How to read Known Issues information:
- Description: The symptoms of a particular issue, related features and configuration, and the cause if known. When a patch becomes available it will also be noted here in bold and in yellow highlighting.
- Key: The unique ID for the Known Issue. Can be used to reference a particular issue with Help Desk staff.
- First Known Version: The earliest version where the issue has been reported or reproduced. Many issues are not found in the first release where they exist, so this may not be the version where the issue was first introduced.
- Resolution: Whether the issue has been resolved, and in which future release.
- Date Updated: This is the date the issue was added to Known Issues if the issues is not marked as Fixed. If the issue is marked as fixed, then the date is when the entry was last updated. This date will be added going forward. Older entries will not have this field populated.
