How to create Portal Custom Content in PAC

You can use custom portal page content to display:

  • Upcoming events
  • Links to outside resources
  • Pretty much anything that you can think of to promote your library!

Instructions

  1. Generate an HTML file containing the custom content that you would like to display, It can be just a text message or a link to an image.

  1. Place the file in a location where it will be accessible over the internet (e.g. a custom folder on the server running your Polaris PAC) 

    TIP: Test your URL to make sure the content displays as expected


  2. Enter the URL for your custom content file in the “Portal custom content (URL)” PowerPAC profile  (in Administration Explorer, open Profiles for the organization, and select the PowerPAC tab and then double click Portal Custom Content URL).

  3. Reload your PAC (webadmin)
  4. Refresh your browser to view your custom portal page content
