Description
We are reaching out to inform you about a change to Innovative’s support network connection. Please prepare your local firewall administrators with the following information to ensure Innovative customer support can continue to connect to your system with no interruption after October 1. 2022.
This change applies to libraries who run Innovative software on premise. If your library uses Innovative cloud hosting, you do not need to take any action.
Instructions
Innovative is switching remote support access from IP address range 205.227.88/24 to a new IP address range, 192.33.187/24. There will be a period of overlap while this change is made. In addition to current permissions to access 205.227.88/24, your firewall administrator should now grant access to connections coming from the new 192.33.187/24 range.
This change requires that you add the new source address, 192.33.187/24 before October 1, 2022. The old source address should continue to remain accessible during this transitional period. Innovative will notify you when the old source range, 205.227.88/24, can be removed. This is targeted for late November.
Background
Until now, Innovative has relied on source IP ranges owned by its Internet provider (Lumen). We are switching to this established block owned by Innovative as issued directly by ARIN. IP address ownership may be verified by searching ARIN Whois/RDAP for 192.33.187.0.
Deadline
We recognize that access changes can require governance processes and approvals. We encourage you to complete this change request as soon as possible and no later than the October 1 deadline.
If you have further questions about this change, please log a ticket with the Customer Support Help Desk.
