Environment
Sierra 3.4
Description
The Sierra Offline Circulation client allows library staff to record transactions and register patrons at times when the library does not have a connection to the Innovative server. When the connection is re-established, staff can upload the transactions to the server.
Answer
First time Sierra Offline Circulation client installation on a workstation
Download the appropriate installer from Supportal(see below) and then run the installer. The installer program will first install the client and configure your workstation to connect to your server IP address. The installer program will then check for the JRE installation and if not already installed, will install the Java Runtime Environment. After installation, the installer program creates a desktop shortcut that launches the Sierra Offline Circulation application.
Upgrading in conjunction with a server software upgrade
Download the appropriate installer from the Supportal (see below) and then run the installer. The installer program will install the new JRE version in your C:\Sierra Desktop App\jre directory alongside the previous JRE version.
