Enabling PayPal's Hosted Checkout Pages for Ecommerce
Innovative supports PayPal's Hosted Checkout Pages as the most secure and modern option to send patrons to PayPal's site for payment. Innovative is requiring that you enable Hosted Checkout Pages by June 30, 2022 in order to access this up-to-date functionality.
Libraries may know our Ecommerce payment solution as either Payflow Link or Payflow Pro. Among PayPal account types, current versions of Payflow Link and Payflow Pro accounts offer hosted checkout pages, and both are acceptable solutions. That said, Innovative recommends a Payflow Pro account because the Payflow Pro account type offers the library the ability to suppress the PayPal Credit and PayPal payment options. A Payflow Link account will require you to accept those options and you can’t turn them off.
To update your PayPal account type, contact PayPal support or Dave Codemo to discuss options to implement Payflow Pro with Hosted Checkout Pages.

Once you have Hosted Checkout Pages on your PayPal account, open a ticket with Innovative Customer Support to update Sierra configuration.
Express Lane Self Circulation customers: Ecommerce payments through the Express Lane Self Circulation stations cannot use the Payflow Pro gateway with hosted payment pages because Express Lane does not operate in a browser, which is required to use hosted payment pages. Innovative recommends libraries either acquire the Express Lane-compatible external payment integration from Comprise Technologies, which takes the Express Lane payments off of the server, or, disable the Ecommerce capability on Express Lane stations. Innovative has committed to support the older gateway through June 30, 2022 to allow that decision and transition.
